Tvrdos, Vranac Red Wine.
Tvrdos Vranac is a silky soft vranac. Authentic depiction of Herzegovinian Vranac and the symbol of the history and tradition of the Cloisters. Quite intense, ending in aromas and flavors of ripe or dried cranberries with hints of fresh pastry or freshly baked bread. Fruity sweetness is wrapped in a wonderfully soft tannin.
Lively and juicy acidity with long, refreshing finish of cherries and blackberries.
Aged for 24 months in old monastery oak barrels.
Origin: Petropavlovsko polje, Herzegovina
Tvrdos Monastery is located 20 km from the Adriatic Sea, on the banks of the Trebisnjica. Here you will find traditional grape varieties such as Vranac and Zilavka next to contemporary Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah. Here in Herzegovina, production is carried out in two cellars, one from the 15th century and a modern one full of technology of our time, together of course in the centuries-old complex. Here wine is made that bridges the gap between old masters and premature companions.
