Vranac reserve is only produced in the best harvests. After aging in the wooden vats and in the bottles (3-5 years), the wine develops its full, characteristic and very recognizable bouquet. It is rightfully classified as the great, mature and luscious wine. Renowned Reserve expresses Vranac's best varietal characteristics, but at the same time attests to its longevity potential, even in decades. This is Vranac in its full glory and the expression of the area Ćemovsko polje in its greatest being.
Rich, extracted, full-bodied, mature wine of velvety tannins, with aromas and flavors of dark forest fruit and fully developed secondary and tertiary flavors, recognizable dried figs, plums, dark chocolate and freshly ground coffee. The impressive aftertaste can be measured in minutes and not in seconds. This is one of those grandiose wines that the Italians call the wine "for meditation".
Best served at: 18-20oC.
Recommendation: Vranac Reserve should be opened at least half an hour before serving (better earlier, if possible), decant slowly in carafe, when the best properties are fully reflected, the bouquet and full, harmonious taste of 'good, old wine '.
It can be consumed throughout the course, and is best with the steak, pork, smoked meat, noble, semi-hard cheese, and the noble mold cheese. It is perfectly suited to many types of chocolate desserts.
